The 2022 Cabernet Franc has a garnet purple color of medium depth with bright youthful hues. The aroma of the 2022 wine features fresh red cherry and ripe plum along with notes of cedar, and graphite. There is also an herbaceous edge reminiscent of Serrano and Jalapeno peppers. With time in the glass a bouquet of mellow toasted oak presents itself but remains restrained and complimentary. On the palate flavors of black cherry and roasted peppers and a chalky earthen note come on a soft and elegantly textured wine that flows seamlessly to a smooth after-taste that makes it perfect for light fare. Art Toy’s ratatouille comes to mind.
